Idol offically Sucks!

I thought this was a singing contest but the reality is that it is a popularity contest. Nobody disputes that Melinda was far and away the best singer but she didn’t win the popularity contest which, if the internet buzz is to be listened to, will be won by Blake, who is by far the weakest singer. But it seems he has the teenage vote which will get him to trophy. Ah Well - I believe Melinda will have a great career ahead of her.
Back to Studio 60 - today’s character is Dannt Tripp
Played by Bradley Whitford, of West Wing fame, Danny is a recovering cocaine addict who has lost his Hollywood privleges until he dries out. So he and Matt came to the show as the head writing team, and Danny’s main job is to keep Matt on track - baby sit him. Danny has fallen in love with Jordan the new president of the network, who is pregnant with someone else’s baby, but is now in a relationship with Danny. The major enjoymant of the show is the interaction between Matt and Danny, which is always sharp, witty and fast. They play off each other brilliantly, and both parts are being portrayed with excellent skill by the actors. For me they are the mainstay of the show.

About Watching Studio60

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was a show about making a show -- a Friday night sketch comedy living and dying by the ratings and the buzz and the bottom line. It also turned out to be about the ways that overinflated expectations and caustic criticism can doom a TV drama. Still, if you're a fan of great acting and Aaron Sorkin's way with dialog, there's a lot to love in Studio 60's sole season. Read here to look back at the show, and look forward at what the cast and creative powers are doing now.
