Monday dawns again

by

Well it’s another Monday morning and we all start the work week one more time. Every one I have spoken to agrees that so far 2007 has just been flying by - it’s almost April and yet it seems just a few weeks ago that I was writing about cutting down my Christmas tree.
One thing that is a given, I will not be watching NBC tonight. For your entertainment we have not 1 but 2 doses of mindless greed (wasn’t that another game show that failed?) with Deal or no Deal, (and 1 of them is a repeat, just in case you missed any highlights the first time around!!)where contestants get to show how greedy they really are and get rewarded for having shown no skill or intelligence whatsoever. Oh and if that isn’t enough you can sit and watch mindless violence for another hour with the Black Donnelly’s. NBC deserves to lose Monday nights as they do not offer anything even remotely close to good TV viewing.
Compare that with Fox’s offerings of a new Prison Break followed by a new 24, and there really is no contest. And at 10 you can watch Dancing With the Stars that you had to record at 8.00pm because it conflicts with Prison Break. So Monday night is a good night for TV watching but not NBC, or CBS or even ABC. Fox wins!!!

About Watching Studio60

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was a show about making a show -- a Friday night sketch comedy living and dying by the ratings and the buzz and the bottom line. It also turned out to be about the ways that overinflated expectations and caustic criticism can doom a TV drama. Still, if you're a fan of great acting and Aaron Sorkin's way with dialog, there's a lot to love in Studio 60's sole season. Read here to look back at the show, and look forward at what the cast and creative powers are doing now.
