NBC Fall Schedule

by

Well May 14th came and went and that was the date set for NBC to announce their fall schedule. Having fallen so far down in the ratings we were hoping for major news and some great new series and I guess only time will tell if that is what we are getting. Go to The New York Times web site as well as TV Squad for more information.
We do know that the old favourite Crossing Jordan has been axed, as well as Studio 60. So time to stop hoping for a miracle and to sit back and enjoy the last 6 episodes.
So - characters we have met on Studio 60:
Matt Albie - played by Matthew Perry. Hired back as the head writer for the show and tasked with making the show great again. Came with lots of history - including a relationship with Harriet, one of the stars of the show that is now on the rocks but as we learn, not completely behind either of them. He is a great writer, witty and intelligent and as we get to know him better we see depth of feeling and he comes across as a very sympathetic character. In the later episodes, Matt starts popping pills and this is one of the story lines that has to be resolved.
Tomorrow - Danny Tripp.

About Watching Studio60

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was a show about making a show -- a Friday night sketch comedy living and dying by the ratings and the buzz and the bottom line. It also turned out to be about the ways that overinflated expectations and caustic criticism can doom a TV drama. Still, if you're a fan of great acting and Aaron Sorkin's way with dialog, there's a lot to love in Studio 60's sole season. Read here to look back at the show, and look forward at what the cast and creative powers are doing now.
