From the Sunset Strip to Wisteria Lane

by
Felicity Huffman and Sarah Paulson

Another guest-starring gig for a Studio 60 alum: Sarah Paulson, who played Harriet, will guest on Desperate Housewives as the sister of Lynette, played by Felicity Huffman.

Huffman, of course, appeared on the first episode of Studio 60, playing herself as the guest host of the show-within-a-show. That made her three-for-three on Sorkin TV shows, since she starred as Dana on Sports Night and guested on The West Wing as a political advisor who outsmarts Toby in “The Leadership Breakfast.”

Which Studio 60 cast member will find gainful television employment next? If you’ve heard of any TV gigs for the gang, share them in the comments.

About Watching Studio60

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was a show about making a show -- a Friday night sketch comedy living and dying by the ratings and the buzz and the bottom line. It also turned out to be about the ways that overinflated expectations and caustic criticism can doom a TV drama. Still, if you're a fan of great acting and Aaron Sorkin's way with dialog, there's a lot to love in Studio 60's sole season. Read here to look back at the show, and look forward at what the cast and creative powers are doing now.
