The Mind Boggles

by Cheryl

I think I have said it before, but I am staggered by the number of blog sites out there devoted to TV in general and Studio 60 in particular. I came across another one today: tvsquad.com and they also reference the Ted Levine page that I mentioned in my last blog. They also agree that despite the number of people who claim to dislike the show, they keep watching. However, the really interesting point about the article on tvsquad, is the breakdown of Aaron Sorkin’s work. They compare The West Wing, Studio 60 and Sports Night as well as breaking down the five Aaron Sorkin trademarks. I wont spoil the fun - go check out the blog.

About Watching Studio60

Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip was a show about making a show -- a Friday night sketch comedy living and dying by the ratings and the buzz and the bottom line. It also turned out to be about the ways that overinflated expectations and caustic criticism can doom a TV drama. Still, if you're a fan of great acting and Aaron Sorkin's way with dialog, there's a lot to love in Studio 60's sole season. Read here to look back at the show, and look forward at what the cast and creative powers are doing now.
